About Clayton
Clayton Glenister is the Managing Partner of MBA Lawyers, where he leads the firm’s strategic growth and development. Since joining the firm as a junior lawyer in 2002 and becoming a partner in 2007, Clayton has played a key role in expanding MBA Lawyers’ service offerings beyond South East Queensland. Under his leadership, the firm has doubled its revenue and broadened its expertise to include asset protection and tax, cyber law, as well as building, construction, and infrastructure law. Clayton’s legal practice focuses on Body Corporate law, Commercial Agreements, Infrastructure, Corporate Governance, and Corporate Advisory. He is widely recognised for his expertise in Body Corporate law and Management Rights in both Queensland and New South Wales, having also advised the Queensland Government on prospective legislative amendments to the Body Corporate and Community Management Act. Alongside his professional commitments, Clayton is deeply engaged with the Gold Coast community. He holds several leadership roles, including Director of Southport Sharks, former Chairman positions at Intelligent Infrastructure Solutions and Sanctuary Cove Community Services Ltd, non-executive Director at Advice First, and Board member of Griffith University’s Institute for Glycomics. Through these roles, he advocates for the growth and diversification of the region’s business landscape. Clayton earned his Bachelor of Laws from Bond University and was admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales and Queensland in 2002. He has also completed the Diploma of Financial Services and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). Beyond his professional and community roles, Clayton is passionate about sports administration and promoting the Gold Coast as a premier destination for tourism and business. He is a long-standing director of the Southport Sharks, a foundation member of the Gold Coast Suns, and enjoys playing golf with a low single digit handicap. Clayton balances his demanding career with family life alongside his wife Kim and their two young children.
