Allan Joyce

Allan, a recent addition to our practice as a junior solicitor, brings a wealth of experience from a diverse professional background. His career began with notable service in the Australian Army, both within Australia and overseas, instilling in him a strong foundation of discipline and commitment. Following his service, Allan obtained a Bachelor of Economics from La Trobe University and went on to excel in various roles across Commonwealth Government departments in Canberra. There, he honed his skills in intelligence, fraud investigations, conflict resolution, recruitment, and employment disputes. Allan further expanded his expertise by running a successful company that developed protective security and business continuity plans for public and private sector organisations, including critical infrastructure and iconic Australian institutions. His legal credentials include a Juris Doctor with Honours from the University of Canberra and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law. He has volunteered with ACT Legal Aid and the Defence and Veterans Legal Service, and actively assists veterans with compensation claims and appeals. Allan has a special interest in administrative law, particularly concerning veterans, demonstrating his commitment to advocating for those who served their country.
