Dan Simmonds

Dan Simmonds brings over four decades of experience advising private enterprises, including family-owned and farming businesses, on matters related to growth and succession. He offers practical and innovative solutions tailored to the unique challenges such businesses face. Dan’s expertise extends to strategic and business planning, where he has contributed both as an adviser and as a member of governing boards. He has further enhanced his knowledge by completing the Family Business Institute course focused on advising family businesses. Throughout his career, Dan’s dedication and impact have been recognised through prestigious awards such as the Law Institute of Victoria President’s General Award for excellence and outstanding contribution to the legal profession, and the Committee for Geelong Frank Costa Leadership Award acknowledging his leadership within the Geelong community. Beyond his legal practice, Dan holds significant leadership roles including Chair of the Barwon Health Foundation and Kardinia Health Limited, and serves as a Director of ACE Radio Broadcasters. Known for his efficiency and passion, Dan balances his professional commitments with personal interests including AFL and cricket, walking, English crime novels, and spending time with his grandchildren.
