About Adam
Adam Seton, a Partner at Marsdens Law Group, leads the Local Government, Planning and Environmental Law Section. Joining Marsdens in 1985, he achieved partnership by 1995. His legal expertise is complemented by a Bachelor of Economics and a Diploma in Law from the University of Sydney. Adam represents over 60 local councils and numerous property developers, community groups, and private clients. He has an impressive track record as an advocate, having appeared in more than 1,000 cases across the Land and Environment Court, the Administrative Decisions Tribunal, and other legal forums like the NSW Court of Appeal and the ICAC. With accreditation in Local Government and Planning Law, Adam has been influential as a member of the NSW Law Society Advisory Committee for Specialist Accreditation since 1998. Recognised by the Doyles Guide as a preeminent Planning & Development Lawyer in NSW, he is also the chairperson of the Inner West Council Local Planning Panel and has chaired other local and regional panels. Beyond his legal work, Adam contributes to the community as the Deputy Chair of the Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation Ltd. He is married and a father to three children, balancing his family life with his robust legal career.
