About Leah

Leah established Marrawah Law in 2013 in Cairns, Queensland, driven by the challenges she witnessed First Nations people face within the legal system. The firm embodies her commitment to ensuring that everyone has a voice in legal matters. It has since expanded to offer a comprehensive range of legal and advisory services for corporate, government, and First Nations clients. Marrawah Law places clients at the heart of its operations, integrating a social and cultural perspective into its approach, and focusing on both the legal outcomes and the subsequent implementation and delivery phases. Central to Marrawah Law’s mission is the empowerment of First Nations communities. The firm actively recruits and supports emerging First Nations legal practitioners, providing mentorship and skill development opportunities through its seasoned senior lawyers. This commitment extends to their work with corporate and government clients, leveraging the firm's values and dedication to First Nations empowerment to achieve innovative and impactful outcomes.
