About Mark
Mark Brown was admitted as a solicitor on 8 July 1983. Before entering private practice, he held various roles within the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Court of Australia, including serving as Deputy Registrar in both courts. He also acted as a Deputy Registrar of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. Since commencing private practice in 1983, Mark has focused on family law. He initially worked as an employed solicitor in Campbelltown for two years before establishing his practice in Liverpool in 1985, maintaining the same premises since 1988. Mark was recognised by the Law Society of New South Wales as experienced in family law in 1995. He has appeared across all judicial levels dealing with family law matters, from the Local Court to the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (both divisions 1 and 2), including the Full Court of the Family Court and the High Court of Australia. Mark’s extensive experience is particularly valuable in resolving family law disputes. He is well regarded by fellow solicitors throughout south-west Sydney, who frequently refer clients to him. In negotiations and court proceedings, Mark adopts a straightforward and practical approach to secure the best possible outcomes for his clients, while conscientiously managing legal costs. Outside of work, Mark is married with children and grandchildren. He enjoys travel, spending time at the beach, requires his coffee by mid-morning, and appreciates a good red wine.
