Rod Hackett

Rod Hackett brings over 24 years of law enforcement experience to his legal practice, having served as a police officer and senior police prosecutor within the NSW Local Court system for a decade. His extensive career included almost daily court appearances, where he managed a broad spectrum of criminal cases. This experience has provided Rod with a deep understanding of police investigations, prosecutorial processes, and courtroom advocacy. Since being admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW in 2019, Rod has utilised his comprehensive background to offer clients strategic and informed representation in criminal and traffic-related matters. His prior role as a prosecutor equips him to anticipate prosecution tactics, identify vulnerabilities in their case, and develop effective defences tailored to each client’s circumstances. Rod is committed to achieving favourable results through clear advice, robust advocacy and dedicated support. His approach ensures that clients facing challenging legal issues receive not only expert guidance but also a steadfast advocate throughout the process. Rod holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New England and is a current member of the Law Society of NSW.
