Michelle Close

Michelle Close is a Senior Solicitor in the Family Law team at Lynch Law, having joined the firm in September 2022. Before her admission as a solicitor, Michelle worked as a paralegal for several years across various areas of law, eventually focusing her career on Family Law. She brings extensive experience in all facets of Family Law, handling matters with a practical and empathetic approach. Michelle is adept at managing complex and challenging disputes, with a strong emphasis on resolving issues through mediation whenever possible, while also being prepared to advocate effectively through court proceedings if required. Michelle has a particular interest in children’s matters and offers clients clear guidance in negotiating parenting orders or parenting plans tailored to their unique family circumstances. Her commitment to supporting families is further demonstrated through her volunteer work with the Women’s Legal Service Queensland, where she provides free legal advice remotely to women in rural, regional and remote areas on matters including domestic violence, child protection, child support and family law. Her areas of practice include separation and divorce, property settlement, spousal maintenance, parenting matters, mediation, domestic violence, binding financial agreements upon separation, and child support agreements. Michelle’s comprehensive knowledge and client-focused approach help her clients navigate the complexities of Family Law with confidence.
