Rowena Wijesooriya is a Senior Associate whose legal career is characterised by a deep commitment to supporting individuals and families through challenging legal circumstances with empathy and clarity. She holds a Bachelor of Law with Upper Second Class Honours from the University of Warwick, UK, and has completed both a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law in Western Australia and a Graduate Diploma in Australian Migration Law and Practice at Griffith University. Rowena’s diverse legal experience spans family law, corporate and retail banking, and community legal services. Throughout her career, Rowena has worked closely with clients from a range of backgrounds, with a focus on assisting those affected by family and domestic violence. Admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Western Australia since 2019, and previously in Sri Lanka as an Attorney-at-Law, Rowena also holds the professional qualifications of Notary Public, Commissioner for Oaths, and Company Secretary. Beyond her legal practice, she founded and served as Creative Director of Rhoda, a gifting company in Sri Lanka that empowers women by providing opportunities for economic independence. Rowena is actively involved in law reform, community education, and mentoring junior colleagues, reflecting her dedication to fostering positive change within the legal profession and the community. She is a member of the Law Society of Western Australia and the Family Law Practitioners Association of Western Australia.
