Dean Jones

Dean Eastwood Jones serves as a Director and brings decades of experience to his role. A Melbourne University alumnus, Dean graduated with his Law Degree in 1989 and commenced his legal career at two of Melbourne's prominent law firms. Here, he gained a wealth of experience in areas such as property, liquor licensing, general commercial advice, trusts law, and general commercial litigation, setting the foundation for his future endeavours. Dean sharpened his focus in the realms of commercial litigation, debt recovery and enforcement, contract and leasing disputes, and insolvency law. Notably, he was actively involved in the application of the new voluntary administration legislation in 1993. This opportunity allowed him to develop a robust practice centered around complex insolvency and associated litigation matters, including bankruptcies and liquidations. His collaboration with leading Australian accountants and insolvency practitioners enabled him to meet the intricate needs of clients dealing with controllers, administrators, liquidators, or trustees. In more recent years, Dean has expanded his practice to encompass a broader range of commercial law services with a keen interest in succession planning. He undertakes training and supervisory roles for other lawyers and actively manages several business ventures of his own. Additionally, he has expanded his legal expertise to include criminal law, probate, family law, and Will disputes, reflecting his commitment to providing comprehensive legal services to his clients.
