About Kate
Kate Andrews is a Senior Associate with extensive experience across all areas of family law. She focuses on matters involving property division, child arrangements, adoption, defence superannuation, de facto relationships, separation and divorce. In addition to her family law practice, Kate manages the firm’s Compensation Law department, assisting clients with motor vehicle accidents, Workcover claims, public liability incidents and medical negligence. Kate also has experience in Wills and Estates, including drafting Wills, Testamentary Trusts and Powers of Attorney to help clients plan for the future. Recognised as a knowledgeable family lawyer in Brisbane, Kate advises clients on a broad range of family law issues, from children’s matters and support to property settlements following separation or divorce. She has represented clients before the Magistrates Court, Federal Circuit Court and Family Court of Australia, securing seven precedent-setting reported decisions that continue to guide similar family law and adoption cases. Kate has recently completed training with Parenting Coordination Australia and is an accredited Parenting Coordinator, accepting referrals from Brisbane North, Brisbane, Noosa and online. She is committed to supporting families in managing their co-parenting relationships after final orders have been made and offers assistance beyond standard hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
