Nathan Young

Nathan Young is a solicitor with a broad range of experience, particularly in Family Law. He is adept in matters involving property settlements, children’s arrangements, and maintenance issues. Nathan also provides assistance with Intervention Order matters, frequently appearing at local courts in relation to these cases, which often intersect with family law disputes. In addition to family law, Nathan advises clients on Wills and Deceased Estates. He prepares tailored Wills and powers of attorney documents to suit diverse client needs, incorporating considerations related to family law breakdowns and their impact on estate planning. His knowledge of Family Trusts, Testamentary Trusts, and other estate planning tools enables him to offer well-rounded advice. Within our firm’s Deceased Estate Department, Nathan collaborates with colleagues to manage estate administration efficiently. Nathan also has experience in Criminal Law, focusing on privately funded matters in the Magistrates’ Court. He has worked on a spectrum of cases, ranging from straightforward offences to more serious crimes heard in the County Court, and frequently appears in court as a solicitor-advocate. Originally from Geelong, Nathan relocated to Traralgon in 2012 to join the team at the former D’Alessandro & Associates in Morwell. He holds a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Deakin University and was admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2012 after completing the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law Melbourne. Outside of his legal practice, Nathan is actively involved in his local community, including leadership roles in community organisations and previous board participation with a counselling centre. He balances his professional commitments with family life, gardening, and cycling.
