Naomi Lewis

Naomi Lewis is a Legal Director and Principal Lawyer with extensive experience across all areas of family law. She advises and represents clients in property settlements for married and de facto couples, spousal maintenance, child support including adult child maintenance claims, parenting disputes such as relocation and alienation, and domestic violence matters involving both victims and alleged perpetrators. Her practice also covers financial agreements including pre-nuptial agreements, surrogacy and adoption, child protection, contravention applications, and appeals. With a background in economics and finance, Naomi is particularly well equipped to handle complex property settlements and financial matters, especially those involving corporate and trust structures. She employs a variety of dispute resolution methods including without prejudice round table conferencing, mediation, and collaborative practice, alongside substantial litigation experience and solicitor advocacy. Naomi regularly appears in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, the Queensland Magistrates Court, and the Queensland Children’s Court, and is skilled in preparing financial matters for arbitration. Highly regarded within the family law community, Naomi maintains strong professional relationships with colleagues across law and allied professions such as accounting, financial planning, counselling, psychology, mediation, and family consultancy to provide comprehensive support for her clients throughout their matters. Naomi has contributed significantly to leadership in the family law field, having served on the Board of the Family Law Practitioners Association, the Steering Committee of the Queensland Family Law Pathways Network, and the Family Law Residential Planning Committee jointly led by FLPA and the Queensland Law Society. She is a regular presenter for the Queensland Law Society on family law financial frameworks. Recognised by her peers and the family law industry, Naomi has been listed in Doyle's Guide Leading Family Lawyer Rankings and Leading Parenting & Children’s Matters Lawyer Rankings.
