Shirley brings a wealth of legal experience, having begun her career as a barrister in the UK in 1993 before serving as a prosecutor with the Crown Prosecution Service in central London. In that role, she managed a broad and complex caseload encompassing serious criminal matters such as kidnapping, rape, gang robberies, fraud, human trafficking, and child abuse. After spending a year working with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in Sydney, Shirley relocated to Australia permanently with her family in 2011. Since qualifying as a solicitor in New South Wales, Shirley has concentrated her practice on family law while continuing to apply her skills in criminal law where relevant. She is committed to helping clients navigate the challenges of property settlement and child care arrangements following the breakdown of relationships. Shirley’s approach is marked by clear communication and a focus on practical, efficient solutions that are mindful of cost.
