Kris Ahn is the Founder and Principal Lawyer of Kris Ahn Lawyers, recognised as an Accredited Specialist in Immigration Law. With extensive expertise in Australian immigration law, Kris has a focus on complex cases such as visa refusals, cancellations, and matters involving unlawful non-citizens. His proficiency in both English and Korean allows him to communicate effectively, ensuring clients fully understand their legal options. Drawing from his personal experience as a migrant, Kris approaches each case with a strategic mindset, particularly adept in the merits review process and Ministerial Intervention. His dedication to problem-solving and alternative solutions is complemented by his commitment to delivering high-quality representation. Kris’s journey began at a migration agency in Sydney, even before he completed his law degree. He holds a double degree in Law and Business (Finance) and was admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales in 2011. His career spans across multiple jurisdictions, including Western Australia and Queensland. As Director at his previous firm, Kris led a team of migration agents and solicitors, establishing and managing a Sydney office. In 2016, he achieved a milestone by becoming the youngest Accredited Specialist in Immigration Law in Australia, and notably, the first of Korean descent to do so. In pursuit of excellence, Kris founded Crux Migration in 2017, merging with another firm in 2019, and subsequently established Kris Ahn Lawyers in 2022.
