Bassam Kazi

Bassam Kazi is a Partner and Notary Public at KPL Lawyers, bringing over 18 years of experience in commercial litigation. His areas of focus include insolvency, bankruptcy and construction law, where he has developed extensive expertise. Bassam also regularly represents clients in local and district court criminal matters, as well as in the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court of Australia. Bassam commenced his legal career in 1995 while studying at the University of Sydney, initially joining Marsdens Lawyers. He later joined Smith Monti Legal in 2002, where he progressed to the role of Director within three years. In 2007, he became a partner at KPL Lawyers, further deepening his commitment to delivering practical and effective legal solutions. He is admitted to practise across all levels of the Australian legal system, including the High Court of Australia, Federal Court of Australia, Federal Circuit Court, Family Court, Supreme Court of New South Wales, District Court of New South Wales and Local Court of New South Wales. Bassam is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales and the Society of Notaries of NSW. Beyond his legal practice, Bassam contributes to various community organisations. He is a founding member of the Australian Maronite Professionals Council, serves as secretary of the Australian Jieh Association, and is an active member of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.
