Ernest De La Querra

Ernest De La Querra is a Senior Lawyer based at our Gold Coast office, bringing extensive legal experience gained over a career spanning more than 15 years. Before joining Kingsford Lawyers, Ernest practiced as a solicitor in South Africa, where he focused on Commercial Law, Debt Collection, and all facets of Property Law. He was the founding partner of De La Querra Incorporated, a firm known for providing tailored client solutions and developing innovative, streamlined approaches to property sales, financing, and conveyancing. Ernest was recognised with several personal and professional awards for his contributions to Property Law and the Real Estate sector in South Africa. Ernest’s legal expertise covers a broad spectrum, including Corporate Law, Wills and Estates, Bankruptcy, and Corporate Liquidations. Currently, his primary focus is Family Law, where he is dedicated to representing clients with both passion and compassion. Ernest approaches each matter with empathy, fully appreciating the complexities his clients face, and is committed to advocating vigorously to secure the best possible outcomes. Outside of his professional life, Ernest is married with two daughters. He enjoys an active lifestyle that includes running, cycling, hot yoga, and various outdoor activities. Ernest has successfully completed seven Comrades Ultra Marathons, a Washie 100 miler, and three Ironman South Africa events, reflecting his determination and endurance both personally and professionally.
