Denby Kerr

Denby Kerr is a Director with extensive experience in family law matters, having appeared in proceedings before the Family Court of Western Australia, the Full Court of the Family Court of Australia, the Supreme Court of Western Australia, and the High Court of Australia. Recognised in Doyle’s Guide as a Preeminent Family Lawyer in Western Australia, Denby has handled a range of complex property and parenting cases across multiple jurisdictions. She holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and International Studies from Murdoch University, followed by a Post Graduate Certificate in Chinese Law. Before co-founding Kerr Fels alongside Amy Fels, Denby was part of a prominent family law practice in Perth. Denby is an active member of the Law Society of Western Australia, the Family Law Practitioners Association, and its Law Reform Committee. She has presented at numerous family law conferences and contributed her expertise through volunteer work at the Fremantle Community Legal Centre. Outside of her legal work, Denby is engaged in various sporting activities. Her approach is founded on the belief that family law is a vital area of legal practice that affects the lives of many people.
