Tom Waugh

Tom Waugh serves as Special Counsel at Kerin Benson Lawyers, having joined the firm in January 2021 as a Senior Associate. His extensive legal experience spans various practice areas, including insurance claims, debt recovery, statutory prosecutions, administrative law, building defect claims, and strata disputes. Tom has represented clients across multiple jurisdictions, such as the Local Court, District Court, Supreme Court of New South Wales, the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, and the Federal Court. Throughout his career, he has acted on behalf of large insurance companies, self-insured entities, government bodies, and individuals. Currently, his primary focus is on representing owners corporations and lot owners. Beyond his litigation expertise, Tom is passionate about advising on all aspects of strata law, including procedural issues, building and strata management statements, subdivisions, and by-laws. He is dedicated to working closely with clients, offering clear advice and striving to achieve the best possible outcomes for their legal needs. In his personal time, Tom enjoys indulging in reading, staying active, and engaging with music and sports.
