Georgina Ponting

Georgina Ponting leads the Kelly Lawyers team as Principal and Legal Practitioner Director, working collaboratively with Aleksandra Holland. She offers her clients expert guidance in Family Law and Succession Planning, areas in which she has developed significant experience. Georgina holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Business Management from the University of Queensland, along with a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law. She brings a thorough and practical approach to her work, consistently striving to achieve excellent outcomes. Her clients value her approachable manner and the support she provides during what are often difficult and sensitive times in their lives. Beyond her legal practice, Georgina actively contributes to the profession and community. She serves as Deputy President of the Law Council of Australia Young Lawyers Committee and has recently completed her term as Vice President of the Queensland Law Society’s Future Leaders Committee. Additionally, Georgina is a board member of Community Management Solutions, a respected Queensland-based not-for-profit organisation that supports employers in areas including workplace relations and governance. Georgina is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. She is also a full member of the Queensland Law Society and the Family Law Practitioners Association.
