About Ben
Ben King is a Director with extensive experience in family law, having been admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2014 and the High Court of Australia in 2018. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a focus on financial accounting, as well as a Bachelor of Law from the University of Western Australia. Ben completed his graduate diploma of legal practice in 2014 and has been practising family law since 2012, during which time he gained valuable experience working with two leading family law firms. Ben has developed particular expertise in complex financial matters relating to property settlements, including cases that involve third-party interests. His approach combines a thorough understanding of financial intricacies with practical legal knowledge, allowing him to effectively assist clients facing challenging and multifaceted disputes. Before embarking on his legal career, Ben was an accomplished athlete, holding scholarships with both the Western Australian Institute of Sport and the Australian Institute of Sport for road cycling. He competed professionally overseas for five seasons, including time with Lance Armstrong’s Trek-Livestrong team. Outside the legal profession, Ben remains actively involved in the sporting community as a director of the Oceanic Triathlon Club and as an elected board member of Triathlon Western Australia since 2018. Ben’s contributions to family law have been recognised in Doyle’s Guide, naming him a Family Law Rising Star in Western Australia in both 2020 and 2021.
