Kerry Davis

Kerry Davis brings a wealth of legal expertise as the Principal, underpinned by robust academic credentials, including a Bachelor of Arts with a focus on History and Politics from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Auckland. Her academic prowess was acknowledged through the publication of her work on constitutional change in the University of Auckland Law Review and as a finalist in the prestigious Rudd Watts client interviewing competition. Before embarking on her legal career, Kerry honed her leadership and management skills as the Regional Manager of a national employment agency, where she adeptly led a team of over 20 staff and drove critical business initiatives. Kerry was admitted to practice in the High Court of New Zealand in 2001 and commenced her legal career at the New Zealand Law Commission, engaging in pivotal projects that shaped New Zealand’s legal landscape. Her work involved significant input into reforming civil litigation procedures and enhancing privacy protections, alongside eminent legal minds such as Donald Dugdale. Kerry's transition to a general law practice allowed her to garner extensive courtroom experience across various areas, including property, commercial, family, and employment law. She demonstrated her legal acumen through high-stakes disputes, notably advising a commercial landlord in a complex legal matter involving a major aviation subsidiary, navigating the case through multiple legal avenues to a favourable settlement. Since relocating to Western Australia in 2011, Kerry has been admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia. Her recent practice has centred on commercial advice, litigation, dispute resolution, and employment law—with a particular focus on complex commercial and property disputes. Her representation in cases involving significant statutes such as the Strata Titles Act and Property Law Act showcases her comprehensive legal capability. Kerry is actively engaged in the legal community as a member of Women Lawyers of Western Australia Inc. and has dedicated efforts to mentoring emerging lawyers, fostering diversity and inclusion within the profession. Her broad exposure across various court systems and her collaborative efforts with senior barristers underline her commitment to delivering exemplary legal service to her clients.
