Keith Hewlett

Keith Hewlett has over 24 years’ experience practising law across city, suburban and rural locations. Throughout his career, Keith has earned a reputation for delivering thorough and high-quality legal work, providing straightforward and impartial advice, and offering attentive client support. His objective is to establish a sound legal foundation that assists clients in achieving financial stability and personal peace of mind. Since beginning his practice in 1985, Keith has advised thousands of clients on a range of transactional matters, including property legal transactions, wills and probate, business sales and purchases, and commercial leasing. During his time practising in Sydney’s central business district in the early 1990s, he also developed expertise in trade mark matters and drafting complex legal agreements, skills he continues to apply for his clients. In 1993, Keith founded KR Hewlett & Co, through which he has expanded his service offerings to include will dispute litigation, family law litigation, building agreements and dispute resolution, strata title matters, and appearances in local courts. In recent years, Keith’s practice has extended to assisting clients in higher courts who have suffered financial loss due to oppressive or unethical conduct. Working alongside Counsel, he has achieved favourable outcomes for clients even when faced with financially stronger or uncooperative opposing parties. Beyond his legal practice, Keith has been actively involved in community service, holding secretary roles in an Apex Club, Chamber of Commerce, and Business Association over a combined period of 13 years. He has also been a member of the Cabramatta Citywatch and a local police consultative group focused on community safety for the past decade. Keith occasionally speaks to community groups on various legal topics and has previously lectured at NSW TAFE on real estate law, contract law, trust accounting, and taxation.
