John Keating

John Keating has practised as a solicitor from the same Prahran office for over 35 years, bringing a wealth of experience and continuity to his clients. His areas of practice encompass commercial and residential property transactions, including sales and purchases. John also assists clients dealing with will disputes, particularly testator family maintenance claims, offering free assessments to those who feel they have been excluded or treated unfairly in a will. In addition to dispute resolution, John provides guidance in probate and estate administration, drafting wills, and preparing powers of attorney for both financial and medical matters. He advises on subdivision of land and associated planning issues, as well as the sale and purchase of businesses. His expertise extends to commercial and retail leasing, representing both landlords and tenants, and handling a range of small business legal matters. John received his education at Melbourne High School and Melbourne University. Beyond his legal practice, he contributes to the community as a director of the local Bendigo Community Bank, a past president of the Prahran District Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Streets Ahead Committee. He is recognised as a Paul Harris Fellow by the Prahran Rotary Club and serves as a Notary Public.
