Danny Wauchope

Danny Wauchope, a Partner at JKW Law, is renowned for his strategic acumen in managing legal cases. Originally from Alice Springs and having grown up in Darwin, Danny's deep ties to the Northern Territory have informed his dedicated practice in commercial law within the region. After being admitted to practice in 2005, following his articles with the Solicitor for the Northern Territory, Danny embarked on his legal journey with a focus on property and commercial law. Danny spent two years at a leading Darwin law firm, where he handled a variety of general commercial matters for private clients, local government entities, and associations. His work predominantly revolved around property law, including commercial leasing and conveyancing. Subsequently, Danny dedicated seven years to the Commercial Division of the Solicitor for the Northern Territory, further honing his expertise in property transactions and major projects. Throughout his career, Danny has been involved in several high-profile projects, such as the Darwin Waterfront Redevelopment and the Darwin Marine Supply Base project. He played a crucial role in the Northern Territory Government’s involvement in the Ichthys LNG Project and managed multiple major residential land releases in Palmerston’s eastern suburbs. His work extended to acting for clients in the purchase of substantial land assets, such as a franchised motor vehicle dealership and a combined tavern, restaurant, and drive-through bottle shop business. Danny holds a Bachelor of Laws from Northern Territory University, completed in 2004.
