Sally Davies

Sally was born and raised in Newcastle and graduated from The University of Newcastle in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Laws. She brings over eighteen years of experience across various legal areas, including wills and estates—covering estate planning and deceased estate administration—employment law, and corporate governance within the not-for-profit sector. Her background includes valuable experience gained from working in her family’s retail business in Newcastle, which has provided her with a practical understanding of the legal needs and considerations faced by small business owners and their families. Sally has also contributed extensively to the legal community. She was actively involved in NSW Young Lawyers for more than seven years, serving as an Executive Councillor and Chair of the Bushweb Regional Issues Committee, as well as representing members on the NSW Law Society Regional Issues Committee. She has held the position of Treasurer for the Newcastle Law Society from 2018 to 2021 and resumed this role in 2024. Outside of her legal career, Sally pursues her passion for playwriting, with her short and full-length plays presented at nearly 40 festivals and events both in Australia and internationally.
