Melissa Somerville

Melissa Somerville was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in March 2023. She joined Jeff Horsey Solicitor in June 2022 as a Graduate Paralegal, completing her final practical legal training requirements prior to admission. With over six years of experience in the legal field, Melissa has worked across diverse areas including personal injury compensation claims, family law, criminal and traffic matters, as well as wills and estates. She is committed to providing compassionate and practical support, particularly to vulnerable clients during challenging times. Melissa completed a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business and Commerce, majoring in Human Resource Management, at the University of Southern Queensland in 2021, followed by a Graduate Diploma in Practical Legal Training. Balancing the demands of legal studies with motherhood, Melissa is a dedicated mother of two who places great value on family and understands the significance of parental roles.
