Shadiya Karunajeewa

Shadiya Karunajeewa, Principal at ISK LAW, brings over two decades of legal expertise cultivated through her work in Australia, England, and Sri Lanka. Her extensive experience encompasses Family Law, Wills and Estates, and Business Law. Known for her straightforward and pragmatic approach, Shadiya ensures her clients are positioned to make informed decisions. She is dedicated to building strong client relationships, taking the time to understand her clients' needs before addressing legal issues. Her transparent and patient communication style ensures client comfort throughout the legal process. Since July 2021, Shadiya has been leading ISK LAW in Melbourne. Prior to this, she contributed to DR Lawyers as a lawyer and legal assistant for over five years. Her international experience includes practising law in Colombo, Sri Lanka for nearly six years, and an earlier role with Anton Solicitors. Shadiya's educational background is as robust as her professional career. She completed a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The College of Law Australia in 2017, and undertook law studies at the Sri Lanka Law College. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colombo. Outside of her professional commitments, Shadiya enjoys family time and exploring new culinary recipes, reflecting her passion for life beyond the law.
