About Lucinda
Lucy Schurink (née Hoult) graduated from the Australian National University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English and Political Science. She was admitted to practice in 2005. After gaining substantial experience in criminal law, including three years as a prosecutor at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in the ACT handling serious matters such as sexual assault and murder, Lucy also worked at the Corruption and Crime Commission in Western Australia. Returning to her hometown of Nowra in 2010, Lucy has since practised in the Shoalhaven region, focusing on family law, criminal law and estate planning. Her extensive background includes mentorship from highly regarded family and criminal law practitioners, which has shaped her approach to be realistic, empathetic and client-focused. In 2021, Lucy was recognised as an Accredited Specialist in Family Law, reflecting her significant experience and commitment to this area. She is also a domestic violence specialist legal practitioner and has completed training in collaborative law. Beyond her legal work, Lucy contributes to the profession as a steering committee member of the Shoalhaven Family Law Pathways Network and serves as Treasurer of the Shoalhaven District Law Society. She enjoys living in the Shoalhaven where she is raising her two young children.
