Ian Roche

Ian Douglas Roche is a Principal Solicitor with extensive experience spanning several decades. Admitted to practise as a solicitor in 1975, Ian initially focused on corporations administration and restructuring, building a strong foundation in complex commercial matters. In 1978, Ian was admitted to practise as a barrister at the Sydney Bar, where he handled a broad range of civil law cases. His work included engagements with Lawcover and the NRMA domestic arson team, reflecting his involvement in insurance-related litigation and risk management. Between 2005 and 2010, Ian practised law in Fiji, enriching his international legal exposure before returning to Australia. From 2011 to 2022, he served as special counsel with Shaddicks Lawyers in Richmond, contributing his expertise until his position was made redundant. Ian’s diverse experience across corporate law, civil litigation, and insurance matters equips him to provide practical and informed legal advice to his clients.
