About Louisa

Louisa Hennessy is a solicitor admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales since 1999. She graduated from the University of Sydney and began her legal career working alongside barristers, including one who was later appointed as a Justice of the High Court of Australia. Louisa has experience in both the private and public sectors, having worked at the international law firm Allen Allen & Hemsley and at the Crown Solicitor’s Office. In 2000, Louisa relocated to the United Kingdom where she practised for four years. During this time, she gained valuable experience in major commercial litigation with Denton Wilde Sapte solicitors in London, as well as working in Torts and Immigration law for the Treasury Solicitor. Returning to Bathurst in 2004, Louisa practised at a local law firm for five years, focusing on compensation and complex litigation matters before taking time away from practice to raise her family. Louisa’s diverse legal background, combining commercial law and litigation expertise, equips her to provide effective advice in areas such as Alternative Dispute Resolution, Medical Negligence, Injury and Compensation law. Both Louisa and her colleague Evan have a longstanding commitment to pro bono work, offering legal assistance to those unable to afford representation and supporting clients who require compassionate legal guidance.
