Luke Dunne

Luke serves as the Managing Principal at Heinz Law and leads the Private Client Advisory Department. With over twenty years of experience in commercial law, he offers expert advice grounded in a comprehensive understanding of both state and federal tax legislation. His practice focuses on advising clients on structuring, restructuring, and planning to build, protect, and transfer their assets effectively. Luke collaborates closely with teams across Corporate & Commercial Law, Property Law, Family Law, Wills & Estates, and, when necessary, Dispute Resolution & Litigation. This interdisciplinary approach allows him to tailor solutions that respect clients’ unique circumstances, values, family dynamics, and long-term aspirations. He works with a diverse client base spanning numerous industries, liaising with other advisers to develop practical strategies and achieve optimal outcomes. His work encompasses advising on efficient ownership structures, managing commercial and property transactions, and consulting on business relationships and ownership transitions. He also supports clients with asset transfers both during their lifetime and as part of estate planning, always aiming to preserve value and reduce unnecessary costs. As Managing Principal, Luke is dedicated to advancing the firm’s growth and legacy, investing in the ongoing professional development of lawyers and staff to enhance services and meet the evolving needs of clients and the broader community. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts, and his commitment to community service is a key feature of his leadership.
