Jason Richards

Jason was admitted to practice in 1997 after graduating from James Cook University. He further advanced his legal education by completing a Master of Laws at Queensland University of Technology in 2001. Following this, Jason became a partner at a Brisbane law firm before co-founding Harding Richards Lawyers with Paul Harding in 2003. Jason provides comprehensive commercial legal advice, guiding clients through all stages from negotiation to litigation. His extensive experience in litigation ensures he approaches the negotiation and drafting of commercial agreements with a thorough and practical mindset. Known for his strong negotiation skills, Jason has successfully facilitated a wide range of commercial transactions and dispute resolutions. In addition to his commercial work, Jason leads the family law team at Harding Richards Lawyers. He has significant experience handling all aspects of family law matters, including client advice, settlement negotiations, and court proceedings. Jason has managed complex cases involving companies, trusts, businesses, commercial and residential property, shareholdings, and financial assets. His expertise and dedication have contributed to substantial growth in the family law practice, largely driven by client referrals and recognition of the quality of his work.
