David Allen

David Allen is the Principal and Practice Manager at Haille Paine solicitors, bringing over 30 years of legal experience to his role. His expertise encompasses Estate Planning and Deceased Estates, as well as Property and Employment Law. Throughout his career, David has gained a strong reputation within the legal community, often receiving referrals from both clients and fellow practitioners. Since joining Haille Paine in September 2017 as a Principal, David has become the firm’s sole Principal. He draws on extensive experience, including 17 years with Sydney-based law firms such as Hicksons Lawyers, and a decade managing his own practice, David Allen Legal, in the Southern Highlands. David leads the firm’s Estates Team, overseeing estate planning, deceased estates, probate, and family provision matters. Additionally, he advises on Property, Employment, and Small Business Law matters, including business sales. David contributes to the broader legal community through his leadership roles, serving as President of the Berrima District Law Society and Regional President of the Southern Tablelands Law Society. He is also connected to regional business networks including the Highlands Business Circle and Business Southern Highlands. Beyond his legal career, David is an accomplished soloist in sacred music at St Jude’s Anglican Church in Bowral and supports various local not-for-profit organisations. He serves as a Director of the Bowral Autumn Music Festival and is an active member of the Mandemar Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade. David and his wife Tina reside on their farm near Berrima, where they manage a small herd of black Angus cattle and practice regenerative farming.
