About Bruce
Bruce Medley is the Senior Managing Partner with extensive roots in the Burdekin District, having been born, raised and educated in Ayr. His lifelong connection to the area provides him with an in-depth understanding of the local community and its unique legal needs. Bruce began his legal career while working under Articles of Clerkship with local solicitor John D. Francis, studying law externally during this time. After Mr Francis’ practice closed, Bruce joined Groves and Clark in early 1974, completed his legal qualifications and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in October 1974. He became a partner at Groves and Clark from January 1975. Throughout his career, Bruce has worked across a broad spectrum of legal areas. He now focuses his practice on matters relating to the sugar industry and sugar cane farms, alongside commercial and residential conveyancing, leasing, wills, estates and estate planning. He remains flexible to assist with other legal matters as required. Bruce adopts a practical and straightforward approach, aiming to deliver prompt, realistic and cost-effective solutions for his clients’ legal issues. Outside of his professional life, Bruce is married with two adult children. He enjoys supporting the Australian Air Force Cadets, fishing and playing the bagpipes.
