Matthew Gibbons

Matthew Gibbons is a solicitor admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in November 2024. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Politics and a Bachelor of Laws, completed in November 2023. Matthew commenced his legal career in regional New South Wales, gaining invaluable experience working in a general practice firm. This early exposure enabled him to develop a strong understanding of the diverse legal issues faced by clients in varied circumstances. In August 2024, he joined Greenleaf Legal in Sydney, where he has continued to build his expertise. During his studies at Macquarie University, Matthew developed a keen interest in family law and criminal law, areas in which he has since gained practical experience. Additionally, he has cultivated a strong appreciation for the complexities of estate planning. His current practice spans family law, criminal law, and estate law, allowing him to assist clients across these important areas. Matthew’s experience working in regional areas has shaped his approach to legal practice, emphasising the importance of tailored advice that addresses the unique circumstances of each client. He is dedicated to providing clear communication and accessible solutions, prioritising a client-focused approach that delivers practical outcomes. Outside of his legal work, Matthew enjoys restoring his classic 1970 Ford XY Falcon, writing novels, and spending quality time with his family.
