About Annemaree
Annemaree Lanteri (AM) brings over four decades of dedicated experience within the family law jurisdiction. Admitted to practice in 1983, Annemaree has devoted her career exclusively to family law matters. Before entering legal practice, she contributed to legal education as a senior law lecturer at the University of Melbourne. Her significant contributions to family law and the legal profession were recognised in 2009 when she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia. In 2016, Annemaree received an Award for Women Trail-Blazers in Family Law, acknowledging her pivotal role in advancing gender equality within the area. Annemaree was among the early lawyers to obtain accreditation in family law in 1989 and played a fundamental role in establishing the family law accreditation program. She has served in influential roles including as Chairman of the Law Institute of Victoria's Specialisation Board and as a member of the Family Law Advisory Committee advising the Federal Attorney-General. Throughout her career, Annemaree's involvement has spanned legal education, professional development, and governance, including her service on the Board of Management of the Australian Institute of Family Studies and advisory positions to the Family Court. Currently, Annemaree remains actively engaged with the firm in a mentoring and consultative capacity, providing guidance to colleagues and contributing to the firm’s commitment to excellence in family law practice in Melbourne.
