About Dennis
Dennis Standfield holds a Master of Laws degree and has been practising law since 1970. He is a partner at Gall Standfield & Smith, a position he has held since 1978. Prior to this, Dennis gained valuable experience as a legal officer within the Attorney-General’s Department Legal Aid Offices in Ipswich and Southport, including serving as Senior Legal Officer in Charge. Dennis’s legal practice encompasses business law, trusts, and compulsory acquisitions. He applies his extensive knowledge and experience to provide practical and effective legal solutions tailored to his clients’ needs. Beyond his legal work, Dennis is actively involved in various professional and community organisations. He is an Australian member of the International Lawyers Group, an Honorary Fellow of the Institute for Glycomics at Griffith University, and a life member and past president of the Gold Coast Show Society. He has also contributed to the Queensland legal and sporting communities, including service on the Racing Appeals Authority and leadership of the Gold Coast Rugby Union Club. Dennis is driven by the challenge of finding smarter, more effective approaches to legal matters. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, following thoroughbred horse racing and rugby, and engaging in local community activities. If he were not a lawyer, Dennis would pursue his passion for training racehorses.
