Pravin Aathreya is a Partner based in Melbourne with two decades of experience in complex, large-scale commercial litigation and dispute resolution. His practice encompasses a broad range of matters, with a particular emphasis on corporate insolvency and reconstruction. Pravin has advised numerous corporate clients across diverse industries, including automotive and transport, infrastructure, energy and resources, and financial services. Pravin’s litigation experience covers complex commercial disputes such as contract disagreements, conflicts involving energy and resources sector participants and regulators, misleading and deceptive conduct claims, and directors’ and professional liability claims. Additionally, Pravin has been involved in advisory roles concerning regulatory issues and “safe harbour” provisions for lenders, restructuring practitioners and company boards. Pravin is actively engaged with professional bodies related to his practice areas. He holds Professional Membership with the Australian Restructuring, Insolvency and Turnaround Association (ARITA) and serves on ARITA’s VIC/TAS Committee. He is also a member of the Turnaround Management Association and participates in the Law Council of Australia’s Insolvency and Reconstruction Law Committee, where he is Deputy Chair responsible for coordinating the Victorian chapter.
