Brendan Madigan

With nearly 30 years of post-qualification legal experience, Brendan Madigan is a seasoned commercial lawyer admitted to both the Supreme Court and High Court of Australia in 1994. His extensive practice spans commercial, property, family, and business law, underpinned by a strong focus on practical advice and effective advocacy. Brendan has acted for a diverse range of clients, including politicians, large corporations, small business owners, local councils, developers, and rural contractors, among others. His tailored, client-focused approach is informed by years of experience in commercial dispute resolution and litigation. Brendan began his legal career as an articled law clerk at Dawson Gain & Fletcher in his hometown of Tumut, NSW, where he developed a strong foundation in rural legal practice. His career evolved into roles that focused on commercial litigation, including leading the litigation practice at a prominent Gold Coast firm. In 2006, Brendan established his own firm in Tweed Heads, building on his extensive experience to assist clients with complex and varied legal matters. He has a particular interest in family law, where his commercial background enables him to navigate intricate property matters involving family companies, trusts, and superannuation structures. Brendan also serves as corporate counsel for several organisations, providing strategic legal advice to align with their commercial goals.
