Andrew D’Alessandro is a partner with extensive experience in both general and insolvency-related litigation, as well as matters involving banking and reconstruction. He combines a commercially minded approach with lateral thinking to ensure that every case is managed with a clear focus on achieving the client’s desired commercial outcome. Andrew has advised clients across a diverse range of industries, including construction and infrastructure, energy, agribusiness, and professional services. His litigation experience spans jurisdictions nationwide, encompassing appearances in the High Court of Australia, Federal Court, and the Supreme and District Courts of South Australia, as well as the Local and Supreme Courts of the Northern Territory. His work includes handling complex contractual and negligence disputes, representing major national and international banks and financial institutions in security enforcement and debt recovery, and collaborating with insolvency practitioners in corporate restructures, investigations, and asset realisation. Andrew also regularly works alongside junior and senior counsel on professional negligence claims, company director actions, bank-initiated litigation, and defence of actions brought against banks and insolvency practitioners under the Corporations Act.
