Natalie Talia

Natalie Talia is Principal and Director with extensive experience in wills, estates, and trust law. She is accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria as a Specialist in Wills and Estates and is a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Before focusing exclusively on this field, Natalie practised commercial litigation and worked within the Supreme Court of Victoria, including the Commercial Court and the Trusts, Equity and Probate List. Natalie began her legal career at a leading firm, gaining valuable experience in commercial litigation and insolvency matters, with cases progressing from the Magistrate’s Court through to the High Court. She then served as Senior Associate to the Honourable Justice Robson in the Supreme Court of Victoria, working on the Commercial Court’s Corporations List and the Court of Appeal. Her interest in estate and trust law grew during her role as the Lawyer assisting the Trusts, Equity and Probate List of the Supreme Court of Victoria. In this position, she managed proceedings and applications under key legislation such as the Trustee Act 1958, Administration and Probate Act 1958, and the Wills Act 1997. This experience involved overseeing complex trust and equity matters, supporting the Court’s supervisory jurisdiction over trusts and estates in Victoria. Since 2016, Natalie has practised exclusively in estate administration and litigation. In 2020, she earned accreditation from the Law Institute of Victoria in Wills and Estates. Her expertise has been recognised by Doyles Guide, naming her a ‘2020 Rising Star’ in Wills, Estates and Succession Planning—a distinction awarded to only 13 practitioners nationally—and subsequently listing her as a ‘Recommended’ practitioner in 2022.
