Dean Ellinson

Dean Ellinson is the Founder and Principal of Ellinson Legal. He brings extensive experience from his career in prominent Australian law firms and corporate counsel roles. Dean has practised at Clayton Utz and Blake Dawson (now Ashurst), two of the country's largest legal firms, and served as a Partner at Dunhill Madden Butler, which is now part of Norton Rose Fulbright. His in-house roles include managing legal teams for GE Capital IT Solutions (Australia) and Monash Commercial, affiliated with Monash University. Dean’s expertise is further evidenced by his involvement with the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association, where he represented the organisation on the Council of the Law Institute of Victoria. He holds a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Economics, and Master of Laws from Monash University. In addition to his practical experience, Dean has contributed to legal scholarship with articles published in respected journals such as the University of New South Wales Law Journal, University of Melbourne Law Review, Australian Business Law Review, and Law Institute Journal. Notably, his work in the University of New South Wales Law Journal has been cited in Federal Court judgments, reflecting his engagement with complex legal issues at a high level.
