Dean Jones

Dean Jones is a partner with a wealth of experience in dispute resolution, having advised and represented clients across a broad spectrum of matters. His practice covers shareholders and directors disputes, partnership disagreements, intellectual property issues, finance litigation, employment-related conflicts, and a variety of commercial law matters. Dean approaches each case with a strategic mindset, emphasising the importance of an early and thorough assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of the client’s position. This enables him to guide clients towards the most favourable outcomes, whether that involves reaching a negotiated settlement or pursuing resolution through the courts. Dean joined Eales & Mackenzie in 1997, bringing with him a decade of experience from a mid-sized firm. He holds degrees in both Law and Economics, as well as a Master of Laws in Commercial Law. Additionally, Dean is a qualified mediator and an active member of the Litigation Lawyers Section of the Law Institute of Victoria. Outside of his professional commitments, Dean enjoys spending quality time with his family, cycling, managing his hobby farm in the Diamond Valley area, and supporting the Collingwood Football Club.
