Charlotte Black

Charlotte Black is a Partner with extensive experience across a broad spectrum of legal areas including civil litigation, estate disputes, wills and estates, commercial law, property law, and employment law. She is committed to resolving disputes at the earliest possible stage to avoid unnecessary litigation and expense for her clients. Charlotte regularly appears in all Victorian jurisdictions, including the Supreme Court of Victoria, County Court of Victoria, Magistrates’ Court, Federal Circuit and Family Court, the Fair Work Commission, and VCAT. She also supports clients in interstate courts and tribunals as required. Her main areas of practice encompass civil litigation, covering corporate disputes and debt recovery; estate disputes including testator family maintenance claims; estate administration matters such as probate and letters of administration; corporate issues including disputes and company restructures; business transactions involving purchase and sale; retail, commercial, and residential leasing including drafting leases and resolving leasing disputes; property law including property disputes and sales; and family law matters such as binding financial agreements and contested disputes. Charlotte provides clear, prompt, and accessible advice tailored to each client’s unique circumstances, ensuring they are well informed throughout the legal process. Outside of her legal career, Charlotte is a trained classical pianist, violinist, vocalist, and conductor. She volunteers as a musician and musical director with local community theatre groups and is an enthusiastic supporter of the Richmond Football Club across a wide range of sports.
