About Dermot
Dermot Duncan has extensive experience working with leading law firms in Australia and the UK, including Ashurts, Herbert Smith Freehills, WHL Ebsworth, CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP, Pinsent Masons, and Bevan Brittan. Throughout his career, he has advised on major infrastructure projects, particularly in the areas of public-private partnerships (PPP/PFI), renewable energy developments, waste to energy initiatives, and carbon-related projects. His expertise is reflected in his published work in prominent international and national journals focused on renewables and carbon, and he is the inaugural author of LexisNexis’ Energy Law & Regulation. Dermot also supports clients on a range of corporate and commercial matters, providing private client services to other clients with broader business requirements such as contract drafting, leasing, conveyancing, wills/probate, powers of attorney/guardianship, buying/selling businesses, employment law, disputes and litigation. Dermot serves as chair of the REC Agents Association (RAA). Dermot holds a Master of Environmental Law from the University of Sydney, with a focus on the financing of renewable energy and carbon projects, a Graduate Certificate of Energy Studies from the University of Queensland and is completing a Master of Business Law at the College of Law.
