About Lachlan
Lachlan Wilson joined Doyle Wilson as a partner in 1993 and brings extensive experience in commercial and property law across Queensland and New South Wales. Growing up on a wheat property between Goondiwindi and Moree, he has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by rural communities and properties. Lachlan has worked with a number of rural legal practices, gaining valuable insights into issues unique to rural clients. This practical experience allows him to offer advice that is both informed and relevant. With over 20 years of litigation experience, Lachlan has demonstrated his ability to achieve favourable outcomes for clients. Notably, he secured a $3 million settlement for a child plaintiff whose claim had previously been declined by two other legal firms. His litigation work spans a broad range of matters, including prosecuting spray drift claims involving cotton growers and resolving complex contractual and property disputes. Outside of work, Lachlan is married with three children and has a background in Rugby Union. Lachlan’s areas of experience include commercial litigation, dispute resolution through mediation and arbitration, debt recovery, contesting wills and family provision claims, estoppel claims related to family farms and similar businesses, partnership disputes, agricultural tenancy matters in New South Wales, and other issues affecting rural businesses.
