Carolyn Rainsford

Carolyn is an accomplished legal practitioner with a focus on wills, estates and estate litigation. She joined Douglas Hoskins Legal in January 2022, bringing a strong background in estate planning and administration. Originating from Canada, Carolyn completed a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science before earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Sydney Law School in 2012. She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor to the Supreme Court of South Australia and the High Court of Australia in 2013. Before joining Douglas Hoskins Legal, Carolyn built her legal experience at two boutique firms in Adelaide, gaining exposure to a range of practice areas while nurturing her interest in estate law. Her work at Douglas Hoskins Legal centres on wills, testamentary trusts, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Advance Care Directives, probate applications and estate administration. Carolyn has a particular focus on estate litigation and is continually developing her expertise in this complex field. Recognised as a Rising Star in the 2022 Doyle’s Guide South Australian Wills and Estates category, Carolyn is known for her professionalism and meticulous attention to detail. Her approachable and client-focused manner provides her clients with confidence and assurance that their matters are managed with care and competence.
