About Bree
Bree was admitted to practise in 2007 and joined Douglas Hoskins Legal in 2017. Following the retirement of Jim Douglas in 2018, she became a Partner alongside Shona Hoskins. With over a decade of focused experience, Bree has developed a deep commitment to succession law and estate litigation, making her a well-regarded practitioner in these areas within South Australia. Her work covers all aspects of estate planning and deceased estates, including drafting wills, preparing Enduring Powers of Attorney and Advance Care Directives, as well as handling probate, letters of administration, and estate-related disputes. Bree regularly represents executors, beneficiaries, and claimants before the Supreme Court of South Australia and accepts briefs to act as Litigation Guardian for minors and vulnerable clients unable to instruct themselves. Additionally, Bree represents clients at the South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (SACAT) concerning the guardianship and administration of elderly or vulnerable individuals. She handles a variety of matters involving protected persons and their families, including those complicated by family disagreements. Bree is dedicated to resolving disputes efficiently and economically, balancing a friendly and approachable manner with strong client advocacy. Her expertise has been consistently recognised by Doyle’s Guide since 2018, with her most recent acknowledgment in 2022 as a Leading Lawyer in both Estate Litigation and Succession Planning.
