Christine La Cava

Christine La Cava brings over 35 years of legal experience, including 17 years dedicated exclusively to family law. After an accomplished early career with the NSW Attorney General’s Department—where she served as Chamber Magistrate, Clerk of the Court, Registrar, and Coroner—Christine transitioned to private practice in 1991, building a strong reputation on the Northern Beaches. In 2009, her expertise was recognised by the Law Society of New South Wales when she attained accreditation in Family Law. Christine is known for her empathetic yet practical approach, helping clients navigate a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, complex parenting disputes, and financial settlements. She is highly experienced in court proceedings, having regularly appeared before Judges and Registrars in the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court of Australia. However, Christine’s focus remains on achieving negotiated settlements wherever possible to minimise stress and conflict. Outside of work, Christine enjoys spending time with family and friends, home renovation projects, music, and reading.
